Description

Lethal Running, the pixel art action RPG about a deadly game show held in a futuristic dystopian society.

The game takes place somewhere in the future where the majority of people are living in poverty under an oppressive government. The only hope for a better life seems to be the Lethal Running Game Show where rich rewards are promised to the winners.

As a game show contestant, you must ward off never-ending attacks from merciless bounty hunters in the ruins of the city and survive the rough conditions of a devastated wasteland. You’ll work hard to upgrade skills like gun handling and melee fighting, but you’re not all brawn. You’ll also have to upgrade your engineering skills and to ensure survival, find clean water and cure diseases.
Last but not least, you must win over the game show audience and become its star. You made it! Or, did you? Never forget that permadeath is always close at hand.

History

Voodoosoft is the web alias, alter ego and side project of software developer Stefan Wischnewski.

Back in 1984, when Stefan acquired his first computer – a Commodore 64 – it triggered a new passion. From that point on, two new activities became a major part of his life: programming and gaming.
In the early days the first programming steps in Basic and Assembler were taken and enthusiastically applied in designing small games. Since 1995 he has been working as a professional developer for business software. However, his keen interest in game programming has never died.

Team

While the complete game code is almost entirely the outcome of a single mind, several other tasks were outsourced to people who contributed graphic and audio assets, helped to establish the core game design, assisted in testing and greatly improved the game overall.
